Follow law...
it is the safest way?

It is a movie about work attitude.
It is a movie about service.
It is a movie about inflexibility.
It is a movie about efficiency.

In life, working is an activity you do for the most part of your life. For a female in Singapore you may start working right after secondary school. That means you start working at the age of 16 years old. If you retire at the age of 60, you would have worked for 44 years. For a male, because you serve army, you will start work about the age of 18. That means you worked 42 years.

Hmm the number seems scary. If I take a graduate as an example, the lady will start working at the age of 22/23 and the guy will start working at the age of 24/25. That still means you work for about 38 years and 36 years respectively.

And if you are not working happily, you may be unhappy for 30+ years. Unless you job hop. But will job hop solves the problem? Will you be happy in that new company? Or will you still be unhappy for 30+ years even though you keep job hopping?

Because in every company, rules, rules and more rules need to be adhered. The older the company, the more inflexible they are. The less competition they have (especially government sectors which has NO competition), the more protocols the employee need to follow.

Most important, as quoted by Fann Wong
"I am a director you know, do you think my job is only meeting?"
Yes the higher the management level you are at, the more meetings you need to attend. I don't condemn meetings, I only condemn inefficient meetings whose agenda is never met. Thankfully, I am not that high in management level.

Another emphasis is on "black and white".
Lina Ng told the security guard
"I have already got the 'black and white'.
Any delay you want to answer."
Email correspondences is so aplenty that sometimes I wonder if email was never introduced, what would the world has become into? Emails seem to be growing, but does that lessen the workload? Did it really make it more efficient, in a world which focus only on efficiency and speed?

Fann Wong keep asking "How can the government sector improve with people like you?" I would like to know too.

p/s : The music is nice... I rarely like the music chosen by Jack Neo's movie. But this music is very catchy.

On a sidenote : I happen to watch The Zodiac, another Singapore production where Fann Wong voiced for the snake. It was a cute movie. And maybe I will be able to remember the order of the Zodiac better after this movie because I always have problem saying the Hokkien "stanza" for the Zodiac.
