I Moved My Blog

Oh just now when I posted my tarot reading, I saw the move blog option and immediately click on it without further ado. Haha trusted their migration scheme completely.

And here I'm blogging my first post in the new blog. Coolz. Now I use my gmail account to log in. And there are so many new features.. E.g. limit who can read my blog and new templates. And even better I can read comments from my blog. At least will trigger me when I have comments.. coz i seldom check for comments one. But no time to care about all these fancy frills. I still owe classmates school work, and owe my bosses some work. And owe myself lots of sleep and videos and podcasts.. So much to do, so little time arghh!

Very long never take my reading so decided to see what the tarot cards are predicting for me. Hmm timely reminded that I have to attend 2 weddings next month thus keep seeing the word 'marriage'. As usual it tells me to keep true to my dream. The thing is most of the time I don't really understand what the tarot cards want to tell me. But seems like an optimistic view. Good, give me energy to continue my journey to my dreams. It doesn't matter if I don't reach my destination, so long as I enjoy my journey. Aja Aja fighting!

The Blind Men and the Elephant

A story I read many years ago. A story that truly reflect my thoughts now.

4th Blind Man: It's a pillar. I touched it..
6th Blind Man: A sword, I say.
2nd Blind Man: A venomous snake.

3rd Blind Man: A rope.
5th Blind Man: A beautiful fan!

An elephant can look like 6 different things to 6 different people. And the reason is because everybody sees the elephant at their point of view.

Now you know why people like to ask you to put yourself in his/her shoes. I admit that I might have forgotten to empathy my friends sometimes or rather most of the times. I see things at my own point of view. I might even become stubborn at my own viewpoints. And thus at the end of the day, I assume something that was totally not the true situation. But maybe the other person had also assume something that was not the true situation. And we all end up like misguided blind men.

The Pensieve

Harry Potter fans should be able to recognise this word.

The Pensieve has multiple functions.

At times, when one's head is so full of thoughts that one cannot hear oneself think, it is useful to be able to take some of those thoughts and literally set them aside. The practiced Wizard can extract a thought from his head and store it in a phial or in the Pensieve for another time. If it is in the Pensieve, it is possible to stir the thoughts stored there together and look for patterns.

I feel that my blog is a Pensieve. It is used to store my thoughts, my memories, my episodic images, my feelings.

Seeing my thoughs can be a pretty intriguing sight. Whenever I am in a process or have finish watching a show, I like to store my thoughts into my Pensieve. Whenever a song triggers something in me, I like to store its lyrics into my Pensieve. Whenever a drawing affects me, I like to store my first hand thoughts into my Pensieve.

But a Pensieve is just to store memories. It does not reflect my true feelings. It only reflects my feelings at that time. It is there so that I can see the true me sometimes, and ensure I will never get lost in this big world out there. It is there to help me store some of my thousand fireflies-like thoughts. It is there for pattern recognition and case base learning.

Thus if I express sadness in a particular post, rest assured I might have become happy when you were reading that post. Because I can be melancholic, I can be emotional, I can be a dreamer. And like all dreamers, I indulged in my fantasies. And I will cheer myself up or rather I can easily cheer up at happy thoughts, at happy scenes. Even a pretty flower or a little chirping bird can make me smile. That’s me.

Waited for a new kokoro show for very long already. So happy to see it. And realised all 5 episodes were out. Is quite a short happy love story.

Thus I am shocked to hear this quote actually. It is like saying 同床异梦. How scary can it be. No wonder they say there are 2 sides to a coin.

Anyway in the show, there was also the talk about freedome, the freedom inside you. The freedom that allows you to feel for the world. Yes I want that kind of freedom too, to be able to feel for the world, to be able to see what most people are not seeing.

In the end the guy and the girl did end up together but what is the actual ending, nobody knows. It is afterall just a feel good movie for me only. A movie that has my freedom in it...

Did a search on my secondary school for FPL... and found a wiki entry on it. Amazing! I am thankful to the person who did this entry. I knew the school song changed but I did not know it had changed 3 years ago. Gosh. The last time I stepped in there was after I grad from my JC.. at least 6 years ago. Time flies, and waits for no man. Seeing the difference in the school song, truthfully speaking, does not make a big impact on me. Maybe because I have long realised that the only thing constant is change. I know that this might sound depressing to some but to me, as long as the person singing is sincerely singing the song, I am glad already. We might sing different tune sometimes, but what matter is our intentions, our loyalty, our sincerity is the same.

The only irony that I committed is I went to sign the petition haha. Not because I really wanted to revert the song but I just wanted to put my name there to tell AHS that I did not forget you. It taught me a lot and I will always be grateful to it. And I respect the change it has to undergo because sometimes, one really needs to change to keep up with the world's expectations.

Suddenly I was reminded of an AHS rule that had been abolished too : The requirement to keep your hair short for females students ...

I saw Technorati while reading Mr. Brown's blog. At that time I did not really understand what this site does but was quite curious about it. Today I finally decided to investigate this site because I found someone had view my site using Technorati tag on "Yearbook.com". And Technorati proves to be an interesting site that I decided to register myself as a member to claim my blog sites.

Other than the fact that I love to register myself to anything just to see what the site does (and end up having lots of account and cannot-remember-password incidents), I have another personal reason. I finally decided that my other world should be open to more people. I have kept it hidden for about half a year already. When I first took pictures for the other world, I was shy. But lately, I am able to muster more courage. Of course I still have times where I quickly shot what I wanted to take and run away. But I have met many incidents where I did not take the shot I wanted and it disappeared the next day. I only want the frequency of such incidents happening to be lesser as lesser, as my courage grows.

I was once challenged to take the picture of these offenders instead of taking picture of the wreckage only. I told him I will, one day. I am not sure when that day happens, but lately it really breaks my heart to see the wreckage.

Dangers on the road

Everyday while walking to work, I see the dangers on the road. Whether you are driving, you are cycling, you are walking. Everybody seems to believe they are right in their path. Everybody seems to believe that the other party should give way to them. Everybody seems to think that they are the only one in a rush and that all should slow down for them. Everybody thinks they are the VIP.

But is it true? When the turn left light is green, should the cyclist still insist of cycling straight? Shouldn't he stop and let the car turn left? When a pedestrian is at the zebra crossing, shouldn't the cyclist stop? Shouldn't the motorist stop? And when the pedestrian is crossing the zebra crossing, shouldn't he walk faster. And if he doesn't walk faster, should he deserve to be horn at? When there are oncoming vehicles, should the cyclist still turn left, thinking he can be faster than the oncoming vehicles?

To those who drive recklessly, to those who cycle carelessly, to those who walks aimlessly; are you sure that your actions alone will only cause pain to yourself. What if the other party tries to avoid hurting you and end up hurting another innocent party? Will you be at ease? No man is an island. No matter how much you try to seclude yourself. Your actions and thoughts can affect other people still.

I don't cycle. But I walk, I drive. I have been through such situations. And at different angles, I feel differently. But at the end of the day, whenever I am behind the wheels, I tell myself that I must return home safely, no matter what. I owe my life to my parents and loved ones, this is the least I can do.

Should I delete this post? I did not expect it to be posted elsewhere. But this is my archive, my thought. It has no relation with anybody... Besides putting lyrics up has always been my habit. I just want to keep true to my thoughts.

Romeo's First Love

Who is Romeo's First Love? You might have thought it is Juliet. But you have been mistaken. Romeo's first love is Rosaline. A lady who rejected him. A lady who make Romeo so depressed and lovelorn. A lady waiting for her true love.

ROMEO : She hath, and in that sparing makes huge waste,
For beauty starved with her severity
Cuts beauty off from all posterity.
She is too fair, too wise, wisely too fair,

Yet in the day where he had declared his deep feelings for Rosaline, at the very night he fell for Juliet - Love At First Sight. And the drastic change is so great, even Friar Laurence felt it.

And the story unfolds a tragic love story between Romeo & Juliet. It leaves a deep impression to everybody because it is a love story, a sad love story, a love story that one thought would have happy ending.

The couple could have a happy ending if their communication did not break down. If Romeo had know Juliet's fake death. Maybe it is fated that both of them must die and be reincarnated to another happy world of their own.

And Rosaline was forgotten. Thrown one side. Like an extra. The lady who Romeo love deeply had only lasted mere seconds in the story. It is said that man keep their first love in their heart while women keep their first love in their memories. Whether heart or memories, they can be removed or erased.

Ask who is Romeo's first love. It is a lady by the name Rosaline. But who remembers Romeo's first love?

High 5 Bread - Is the rumours true or not?

I received another email this time to say that this is not true. Is this a viral marketing strategy? Is it to create awareness for High5? Is it a competitor trying to damage High5's reputation? I really have no idea. Suddenly I feel that internet is so scary. Before I posted this, I tried to verify that it is true because I did not want to mislead anybody. But end of the day, I still feel that I have been mislead...

Maybe I really should not eat bread afterall....

Leaving

[Goong Scene]

Princess was sick and her parents came to visit her. And suddenly all her appetite and bubbly spirit came back.

After all the commotion, her parents seek Prince Shin’s permission to bring Princess back. But Prince Shin rejected them outright. He says that if this time she falls sick and they bring her back home, does that mean that next time she falls sick again, she will need to go back home to recuperate? Princess might have been looked after by them for the past 19 years. However they are no longer Princess' guardians. The person who should look after her and protect her is her husband, your son-in-law. Thus he cannot allow them to bring her home.

After some brain processing, I realized how important this theme – LEAVING signifies. And I concluded that only by leaving will one learn more and grow up.

After 6 years of primary school, we leave our primary school to proceed further in our education. Break time is no longer play time. Then 4 years later we left our secondary school. And this time we feel more with regards to parting and farewell. 2-3 years later we left our junior college or other institution. And we realized that more and more responsibilities seem to be laid on our shoulders.

Then in our working life, I realized that one has to leave to learn more. Whether it is leaving the company or leaving the current post i.e. being promoted, the action alone will allow you to widen your sights.

Thus Princess has to leave her home sweet home, to grow up and take on new responsibilities. Leaving is actually for one’s good too.

Empty Road

On a Saturday morning, as usual I took a bus to school. I slept for about an hour on the bus before I woke up… and saw a pretty interesting sight.

As everyone knows, the IMF event had caused a tightening in security around Suntec and that my bus has to go a detour because of it too. I had almost forgotten that this arrangement will affect my way to school on Saturday… and I was wondering will I become later than usual.

However on the way, all I saw was a long stretch of empty road. And at one portion, there was a long stretch of police vehicles etc. I was almost tempted to take a picture since it is such a rare sight. But on 2^nd thought, I was worried they might find me suspicious and I might really end up being late for school.

Anyway I shall observe next week if the road is as empty as this morning. But today’s empty road sight is really an interesting sight.

Come to think of it, I am not sure if they recalled this brand in the shop already. Haven't been groccery shopping lately...

Yearbook.com

Yearbook (http://www.yearbook.com.sg/) is a website that I chanced upon while surfing for something. And the reason I mention it is because it is entirely made for Singaporeans or people who have once studied in Singapore. The list of schools are pretty exhaustive (since I managed to find my schools) and it is way better than Names Database (if you did hear of it) since it allows me to fill in my primary school, secondary school, junior college and university. Of course not everybody is locally educated but even then, you could always just pop by and try it out.

I find the name interesting too.. because it reminded me of the year books that we used to have in our schooldays. Should find my yearbook to flip through one of these days haha.

Messengers

There are 2 new "Messenger" that I wish to try out for FPL (Fun, Peace & Laughter)

For Skype, I have downloaded the installation since beginning of this year but I have never installed it because nobody I know is using Skype? Or maybe is because I'm not even utilising my MSN Messenger anymore, how do I know who else is using Skype right?

Indeed ever since I left my first company, MSN becomes inactive to me. Partly due to the fact that I no longer can online in my current company (somehow it is smart enough to block me and yet not block my other colleagues using yahoo etc) and the fact that I no longer need to report to my team lead via MSN. Afterall everybody is now withing the company boundary, unlike previous company. Thus I either email or walk over to consult my supervisor. And when I'm at home, I either you-tube or game... and MSN is too distracting for these activities.

But still I would be interested to at least test out the new messengers to see what people are using nowadays. Just realised that I'm getting out of touch with the communication world as I grew increasingly hermit-like.

Anyway Meetro was something that caught my attention while in the classroom. Apparently someone installed it and the interface being bluish, caught my fancy. And I read that it integrates ICQ too... gosh, ICQ. Once my needed software, nowadays when I do remember to login the web version, I only see 1 or 2 person online. Pity I guess. It has the longest list of contacts as compared to my MSN... and my yahoo should have the shortest list. Ha ha. Exclusive access "p

I'm So High .... on Goong/MingEn

Initially I just wanted to post entirely on Goong. And save it as draft till I complete the show. After watching 3 episodes, I sort of guess the ending already. However I am still unable to find the perfect program to permanent embed the subtitles into avi or vob... thus I doubt my colleague will lend me the shows yet hahaha. In a sense, also good lah coz I don't have the time to watch this show and knowing my character, I'm so afraid I'm going to go without sleep for 3 days to complete it. Heng while surfing around, I caught the ending. Knowing the ending will at least suppress the urge to watch the show. Hopefully. I remember in the first episode, they were watching Dae Jang Geum on TV hahah. Then in the 2nd episode, Empress Dowager was watching My Lovely Samsoon. Really cute sia. Trying to emphasis that this is a modern Korean days watching latest TV shows haha. And their traditional clothings reminded me of Dae Jang Geum days. Oh ya talking about that, my mum and I had a conclusion that actually Dae Jang Geum is still better than My Lovely Samsoon. Really nothing beats Dae Jang Geum sia. Except maybe Goong? Haha. Not sure since I haven't completed the show. Oh but I heard got Goong 2 in production. Interesting!

Anyway while surfing around, I realised wow YEH & JJH are so young (alright around my age.. and I'm young right haha). And as usual alot of "talk" about whether they are together or not. The problem is this is a Korean show, so usually most of their talk shows are korean ... (kinda reminded me how I watch Lovely Samsoon behind the scenes stuff...) Anyway I find the couple cute especially JJH. Because he could actually imagine a talkshow that had went on halfway, as a rehearsal still. Gosh, he was so embarassed... haha. Looks wise, hmm I also not sure he handsome or not. But seems pretty tall haha. Maybe Hyun Bin more handsome "p

Hmm while typing this post, actually I'm feeling abit high. Haha... so I'm like rambling around. I had wanted to call it a day and go find zhou gong already but I realised I have not read the last page of Ming Dao & Qiao En forum. And after reading it, I'm so high I just cannot sleep. Partly also due to the fact I'm trying to view the video about it. Because the post says that FINALLY there is going to be some MingEn action. And it was Ming Dao who answered this question in San Li Interview. And I so want to watch this video because they say MD was so happy when he said it. Is like he couldn't believe that his boss has plans for the 2 of them too. He was like asking for confirmation. And he can't hide his smile. Suddenly I saw the cute little boy in him that was what attracted me to this couple haha.

That sets me thinking about whether love exists in shows or not? I also wonder why there will be so many people wondering if the main characters will fall in love or not. Sometimes the chemistry is really good that people wants them together. Fann Wong & Christopher Lee is one classic example in SG. I guess there were speculation before. Wonder did people discuss about them too in the forum. Anyway I was also thinking why would there be so many people discussing about MingEn, SunBin etc. And what type of people are they?

Came up with a conclusion. That most probably these people speculating are females (like me!!) Because I doubt guys really bother to see if the lead actor/actress will end up together or not. And they will not bother to see the little actions that these characters show during promotions of show etc.

And back to MingEn, I started to think back my conversation with my colleague last friday. She thought I was MD fan... but I say not really. Coz I feel I'm more interested in QE than MD. But come to think of it, I never watch much of QE's host shows too. After a while I concluded maybe I'm only interested in MingEn actions bah. I mean I know QE came to SG for 4 days... left yesterday. But I wasn't very high also. Yet I'm so high now... argh... Guess first love is hard to forget. No matter after them got what SunBin, what JJH & YEH... I still faithfully read up MingEn stuff more. Even though I no longer read daily... but just can't let go.

Hmm don't know what am I posting. Better end now. But before I end, just wanted to give myself a reminder... to search yuna ito precious ...

Just finish reading a story by my friend and some questions keep whirling in my mind.
- Who is Han? This guy name seem "familiar" to me.
- If there is Tian Shu, what do I want to see in it? Will seeing Tian Shu marks the end of my life?
- If this world is ruled by Love only, will everybody become too emotional?
- If this world is ruled by Destiny only, will everybody's destiny be interlinked?
- If this world is ruled by Logic, will love & fate exists?
- Can tarot card tell our lives accurately. Or are we living the life that the cards dictated because we unwittingly listen to the card readings.
- Is love complicated? Or the humans that make it complicated? Or the people that are complicated themselves. Or the events that happen to the human that make it complicated? Or the details that are inter-woven among each other that make things complicated? Or is it all just in the mind?
- If you love someone, what will you do? Will you chase him/her? Will you give up? Will you wait forever and ever?
- When love ends, what happens next? Friendship? Marriage? Breakup? Does hatred thread from the same root as love?
- Can love leads to happiness? Can break up leads to freedom? Can marriage leads to bliss?
- Does a man always want to be the first man in the lady's life? Does a lady always want to be the last woman in the man's life?
- Why do some girls like bad boys?
- Why do some other girls like music boys?
- Why do some other other girls like flower boys?
- Why do all boys like girls that look pleasant to their eyes? (haha!)

Smiles

One of Mr. Brown podcast was on 4 million smiles. Only then did I realise it was part of the effort for IMF event. Another classic e.g. that shows how W.O.L.S I can be.

Anyway something in the podcast invoke my thinkin.
First you smile,
Then you will be happy.

OR

First you must be happy,
Then you can smile.

The chicken-egg scenario I guess. But Happiness is something that we look for, and something that always eludes us. Sometimes the very happiness we are chasing is at our feet. But how many of us are blind to Miss Happiness?

And if we are not happy, how do we smile? Or can we really smile first and develop the feeling later on?

Remember the photographer who always ask you to SMILE, then flash and your photo is taken. Sometimes he say SMILE till i can see your white teeth. Sometimes he say don't SMILE too wide. Sometimes he say SMILE you are on candid camera. But has he ever say Be Happy! Smile!

Maybe Smile and Being Happy can really be 2 separate events...

Remove Laptop Screen

Yesterday was trying to follow the instructions in this article.... but the lappie in operating theatre is a dell insprion... And the screen seems pretty tough to take out.

Anyway while figuring out the LCD, I decided to do a full autopsy on it... to obtain its hard drive. Hmm but that has met with some resistance too. End up I decided to go ZZZZ

Shall try again tomorrow.

Yeah I did manage to retrieve the precious hard disk (but 10 GB only.. crestfallen when I saw the prize) and I think the inverter too. But then the inverter seems to be of a different shape from what I expected. Hmm wonder can it fit my Toshiba Lappie or not??? Oh ya for those who don't know, due to my You-Tube addiction, I might have over-worked my lappie thus causing the screen to turn dim/almost-black. Luckily I managed to borrow a monitor to act as my LCD screen... Next laptop to bring into the operating theatre - Toshiba Statelite ...

Found this blog... from a friend's blog. Would like to try the first method. 2nd method hmm.. ever use lophtcrack... but ophcrack. Hmm shall see see look look.

My friend forgotten her XP user account password. Initially i thought of reformatting and reinstalling everything for her. Then i found out 2 ways i can help her recover.
1. Use Windows Installation CD to do a Repair. When setup/repair reboots with the standard billboard screens saying, "Preparing Installation/Installing Windows/Installing Devices"... Press SHIFT+F10 to open command console. At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL to gain graphical access to User Accounts in Control Panel. Yeah, we can change/remove any account's password.
2. Better still, just crack the password!
Step 1. Use tools like samdump2/pwdump2 to retrieve password hashes. http://www.loginrecovery.com/
Step 2. Use ophcrack to crack the password.
