Yupz is a collection of questions I had in this semester.. (sounds like I'm in school haha)
One of the biggest question posed to me is: Do you use it?
I usually approach people who show keen interest in a certain aspect e.g. Health, wealth. Donation.. I guess I just ask to try luck.
And the scene is always like this:
An explanation of the product.... What you need... What it does...
And then they will always ask me back this question: so are you using it?
What I wonder is.. If I don't endorse it, does that mean I don't believe in the product and thus I should not promote to you? Anyway truth is I will always try it first to see if it is really effective also.
Which reminds me, I quite like the trip to Singapore Heart Foundation in Bishan. Learnt alot from them, and these people sound sincere. Hmm is it possible to find a tech job in NPO? Sigh I am getting impatient.
2nd question I kept getting: What is your Career goal?
I was asked that question and I replied - NONE! Still remember my talk with my freelance agent and he said as a freelancer, he cannot offer me any career path, only curry puff. Haha. In a way it suits me fine because my objective in life is never about my career. I guess freelancing suits me better?
But it had been a good thing to attend the interview as I had a good chat with the temp staff 10 years my junior who is waiting to attend NUS Arts. May her wish comes true! That and the fact that I met XX who is the guy after me to be interviewed. At least I know XX is making efforts because sometimes I really get angry with him for always complaining but not seeing him take any action. Now I know he does take action, just that he does not disclose things in pipeline.
Recently I was again posed this question by an agent this time and after awhile, she said is not that I don't have a career goal. I do. But is different from others as in it does not involve climbing the corporate ladder. Anyway sometimes she makes me blur, and sometimes I make her blur in that whole course of conversation haha. Especially when she told me at the end, you are at the crossroad and while I don't recommend you to have a gap too long, I also do not encourage you to become desperate and just take the plunge. The thing is, where is the water to dive into?
