Left the last season to watch... this show has been a real eye-opener, or can i say brain opener. Still waiting for the right moment to complete the series, but I also know that their thoughts, their dreams will forever haunt me haha. Seriously when I'm 35, what would I become? Cynical? Idealist? Would I see the good of everybody or just see what I want to see?

New York, a city that symbolises independence. A word that is never achievable in the real life. Such is the cold harsh world. Where everybody wants to have their cake and eat it.

Still looking for their theme songs. Especially "Moon River" by Henry Mancini. This particulary episode "I Heart NY" is a very touching, sentimental episode IMO (in my opinion)

A riddle from an old friend

I received an email from an old friend about some interesting outlooks of life. At the end, there was a riddle.

What is greater than God and more evil than the devil; the poor have it, and the rich need it, but if you eat it, you'll die?

It was said that if you forward this to 10 people and press shift after that, you will get the answer. But I beg to differ. You can don't do anything and still get the answer. Because the answer is none other than

NOTHING.

NOTHING is greater than God, and NOTHING is more evil than the devil. The poor have NOTHING, and the rich need NOTHING. If you eat NOTHING, you’ll die after a period of time.

In Old Testament, God created the universe out of NOTHING. To make somehing out of NOTHING seems so remarkable, a job only God is capable of I believed.

In Buddhist, they always wish to reach this stage of tranquility, a stage where NOTHING affects them. Devoidness of feelings, the See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil state.

Yet right now, I only have 1 thought, that is if you have NOTHING, you achieve NOTHING, you obtain NOTHING. It might sound pathetic, it might not. Depends on how you deem it. I feel that NOTHING can be as much as a motivation as it can be a setback. If I have NOTHING to lose, maybe I will fight harder? I will try harder?

I'm finishing my this 4 month contract within a month's time. In a way, I am really left with NOTHING. I can be optimistic and start afresh, or pessimistic and think 'forget it, i will never get a job'.

Or I can have another choice, but do i dare to take that path. ... to go or not to go...

Is IM Good?

IM, the shortname for Instant Messaging. Examples include the famous ICQ, and MSN as well as Yahoo Messenger and many others that appear after ICQ got famous. The Pros of IM, countless.

From being able to get instant reply from your friends so long both of you, or even a few of you are online, even if you are worlds apart. You can use a webcam and voila, a video conferencing is happening. You can send documents straight away without bothering how heavy the file is (unlike if you want to email to your friend)

The cons, it is being used for so many uses that sometimes, I would feel that there is a lack of personal touch in it. You use IM to keep updated with your friends, your colleagues, your acquaintances. In it, you talk about anything from how are you, to how's the weather.

Is IM really a suitable tool to discuss business deal? Maybe as it is indeed more convenient at some times.

Is IM suitable to discuss your job be it a promotion or a demotion or a retrenchment etc? Imagine if your boss MSN you and say, ok your contract will be extended. As you are reading this from your screen, will you feel any elated feelings? Or are you void of any emotions? How about if your boss tell you that your services will not be required any longer. Will you get angry due to the fact that you are not needed anymore or the fact that your boss had used an IM to convey a message which, in your opinion ought to be a face to face topic?

How about couples? Can a guy chase a gal using IM? So that at least he can save himself from some embarassment if she rejected him? Will you IM a girl and say, "Actually I have fallen in love with you since xxx months ago".

And if the love turn sour, can a boyfriend also MSN the girlfriend, "Sorry but I feel that we are incompatible. You deserve someone better." Will the girl be able to take it, would she prefer an IM message than a face to face rejection? Is IM really helping you or harming you? By using IM for every single events, have you no respect for the men outside?

This is a very good website which teaches one how to do the shading effects with photoshop tools. Even has an example to show how shading is done. Cool! Now I should have no excuses to start my new blog... I even thought of the name already...

1) To Hate Someone, There Is A Reason. To Love Someone, There Is No Reason

Is it really true? But i thought love and hate is actually the same amount of feeling in 2 extremes? So shouldn't there b a reason to love as much as a reason to hate?

2) What is critical thinking?

During an interview, I was posed this question : "Do I have critical thinking?" It makes me wonder what exactly is critical thinking. Is it going against your boss for coming with a dumb plan? Is it thinking for your boss when he has too many stuff on mind to take care of? Is it going against the flow? But if everybody decides to go against the norm, is that still unique? still a special critical thought of its own?

3) Can there be a balance society?

Is it really the fight for equality that causes so many problems? All these divorces, failed marriages and breakups. All because woman decided to put their thoughts into voices? Can there never be a balanced society?

Ok had been trying to watch SATC daily but of coz it is abit tough to keep this habit. there are days I would be juz too tired to switch the comp on even ... ='( (a droplet of sweat not tear)

anyway i reached till this epi already. Where Carrie will finally get to meet a guy she really loves, willing to change for him, willing to forget the Mr. Big whom she once thought is her crush, or crash as she had termed him. Watchin SATC makes me wonder, is it really true tat city life would make a gal cynical. I see how cynical they could be, and how bitchy they could be too. At times, their ideas, their thinkings are just way too off my limits. These are 30-somethings gals who has a successful career, glamourous life, indulges in simple or expensive pleasures, depending on how you judge it.

I love the shoes they buy, the food they eat tho =D. It seems like their restaurants are always very cool and interesting. But I do believe I cannot watch too much of SATC =D. coz I will get influenced easily by their ideas. Their persistence to being an independent woman who doesn't need help, and yet some times they just wished to be rescued. It really do enforce a point, that woman, no matter what age you are, will always be unsure of what she wants.

Oh and talking about the 'regardless of age' theme, The episode that has 20 something gals and the foursome, was an interestin episode. It was said that 20 something girls are just lost on what they want in life still. That's why they idolise the 30 something women who can make a statement! However I was wondering, yet in love life, all women are lost until found =D

Cute rite? hee hee... was trying to find the online ad for this sovil titus (with sammi cheng one) but couldn't find. So I end up scanning this ad. Or rather only portion of the ad. I know sammi looks very pretty but it is this cute cuddly bear that caught my attention. It is like keeping its mouth shut, refusing to tell the secret hee hee ..

anyway tis is another interesting technology that i'm trying out.. blogging with a picture. cool right! must download the Hello software first then can 'send' your pic to bloggers. Can also send pics to your frens like any instant messagging tool e.g. msn, yahoo, icq. shall play more next time..

Google Toolbar

Today i decided to download the Google Toolbar and uninstall the MSN one.... hopefully they will upgrade the toolbar such tat I can click on MAIL next time. Am still not used to checkin my gmail hee hee

One thing cool abt tis Toolabar is the fact that i can click on any URL and juz BLOGThis!! which i did hee hee. so the next time i surf to a website and finds it interesting, i am going to juz BLOGThis!! hee hee =)
