Ai yori aoshi

I was searching for the meaning of Kaoru when I saw this title and decided to read about it.

Maybe it is the title that intrigues me.
Ai Yori Aoshi means "Bluer Than Indigo". It is based on an old Chinese proverb: blue dye is made from indigo colored grass, yet the blue dye's color is much deeper than the color of its origin. In another words, the pupil has exceeds the master. Sounds interesting.

And the 2 characters name are referenced from flowers
Kaoru Hanabishi :
Kaoru means "fragrant" (the pleasant smells commonly attributed to flowers)
Hanabishi refers to a flower-shaped family crest

Aoi Sakuraba:
Aoi means "hollyhock", an Asian plant having a long cluster of showy, variously colored flowers
Sakuraba refers to a cherry blossom courtyard or garden

Taeko Minazuki:
Taeko means "delicate child", reflecting her clumsy personality

Mayu Miyuki:
Mayu means "cocoon", a reference to her family owning a silk company.

Anyway seems like another Harem Anime... like Love Hina (Rabu Hina).. see if I'm fated to watch it bah. For now, I'm happy to learn some of the Japanese words.
